The government is definitely aware of the situation. We also have a Ministry of Cleanliness and Park of the Karimun Province (Badan Kebersihan dan Pertamanan Kabupaten Karimun) with a vision “To make the Karimun Province Clean, Beautiful and Comfortable”. In this section, we will explore the waste management system placed in Karimun in processing rubbish.

The locals will bring their household waste to the initial collection points located in certain areas (as seen in the image below). Afterward, there will be small trucks that collect them to TPS (Tempat Penampungan Sementara) or Temporary Waste Storage. Finally, the main truck will collect them from the various collection points to TPA (Tempat Penampungan Akhir) or Examined Final Concentrated Place. This is the same for Wet Markets and also Business Areas.
