Climate Bargaining

Climate Bargaining. The person might seek to change his or her behaviour in order to try and regain what has been lost or what is expected to be lost. Climate bargaining may also downplay the potential impacts of climate and focus on other efforts to drive the change. They may bargain by buying carbon offset credits to make up for the carbon emission produced from air travel. Carbon offset is made when there is a reduction in emission of CO2 or other greenhouse gases in order to make up for the emission made elsewhere. It enables people to offset the emission they produce. However, this may be a way for them to escape the reality of making dramatic changes to combat environmental threats.
