Situation in Singapore

Litter can be seen almost everywhere in Singapore, from the smallest litter such as cigarette butts to larger ones such as empty cardboard boxes and plastic bags. The most commonly seen litter in Singapore will be tissue papers, receipts, straws and cigarette butts which are left on the ground at hawker centres or areas around the resting benches or even in the common drains.

Here are some photos I have taken in Eunos and also from East Coast Park. Cigarette butts are most commonly found in East Coast Park (ECP) especially near the benches area.

These are just some areas that I have visited and so much can be found. This shows how common litter can be found in public areas and that people are still littering quite a lot even till today.

So who has been the key player in trying to keep Singapore clean this whole time? – Let’s find out!
