I’m a Dutch Exchange student from the University of Amsterdam. I studied at the Nanyang Technological University Singapore in the second semester of 2016/2017. As you can read on the homepage of this website, I was interested in this topic, because many local Singaporeans complained about the lack of ‘real’ nature in their country. I wanted to know what the reason for this belief was. In my opinion this reason can be found in the high extinction rate of flora and fauna. That’s why I started a website about this topic.

I’m a statistical psychology student; my major is ‘methodology and statistics’. I’m very interested in nature and history. I think extinction is the perfect combination of those two topics. Because of my statistical background I wanted to provide as well some information about extinction research in Singapore.

My hobbies are hiking, squash, surfing and (especially) listening to the radio and hosting radio programs.
