Influencing behaviour

Research has shown that Singaporean students do not principally prefer to conserve plant species, animal species or natural habitats over any other. This is contrary to people in other countries, people dogenerally prefer the conservation of animals over plant species. Besides this, Singaporeans are more likely to show introvert conservation behaviours, instead of extrovert behaviours. The former behaviours are for example using conservation friendly products and the latter are writing letters to newspapers to convince others.

With this knowledge, it is possible to make Singaporeans more interested in conservation. Research like this can help to solve the problem of high extinction rates.
