Robert Clarence Irwin
DOB: 2003, December 1
R/S: Son

He was the greatest Wildlife Warrior, conservationist and dad on the planet. – Robert Irwin (@robertirwinphotography).

Who is he?

Steve’s youngest child and only son, it is hard not to notice his burning enthusiasm for wildlife;  personally participating in Australia Zoo’s crocodile research trip. Many have come to see him as a carbon copy of his father. Main character in his father’s 2008 scandal, whereby he was brought into a 3.8m saltwater-crocodile’s pen with his father at only 1-month old; one cannot help but see where he got his love wildlife from. Even though he was only 3 years old when Steve died, Robert was still able to stay connected to his father’s work through the zoo and the various documentaries he has filmed. Unlike other children, Robert was already venturing into the forest to help his mother in the tracking and tagging of crocodiles, and was part of some documentaries. Unlike his sister, Robert stayed faithful to conservation, and only appears on the television to talk about animals. His most recent appearance was on the Jimmy Fallon show.

Using beautiful photography, Robert has shown the world the wonders of wildlife, and spread awareness for the endangered species scattered around the globe.  Besides currently existing animals, he also holds interest in paleontology, marrying his love for both the pre-historic and modern-day dinosaurs. Alongside his sister, he has also became the public face of the Wildlife Warriors.

What does he support?

All of Australia Zoo’s efforts.
