Signboards and Guides
How much do you know about the various animals at the zoological parks?

Merely looking at the animals in their exhibits do not hold much educational value. Most exhibits in the zoological parks are accompanied with signboards, which helps to pass on important information about the animals to visitors. These signboards can contain information such as facts about the animals and their natural habitats, the threats they are facing (if any), as well as messages to encourage conservation efforts.

Another effective way of passing on information is through guides. Some exhibits are accompanied by a zookeeper of volunteer who are there to educate visitors about the animals, as well as to answer any questions raised. More commonly, zookeepers are present during feeding times, animal shows, and other activities that involves a close-up interaction with these animals. The guides are there to facilitate these interactions and to pass on information using a more guided structure to the audience.
Better-informed visitors may then start to change their attitudes and behavior towards these animals and the environment!
