Environmental advocacy and efforts should not be left to the job of environmental biologists. There have always been tons of knowledge in the academia but why do some individuals or groups of people are more “eco-friendly” while others are not so. What are the ways to overcome the challenges of advocating for people to participate in such efforts? In recent decades, conservation psychologists has also joint in the race to alleviate environmental issues by understanding human-nature interaction, environmental values, ethics and the suitable solution to garner people for the battle against climate change.

Similarly, I have also attempted to break down the psychological mechanisms of why sand exploitation continues despite the knowledge of the consequences on the environment. This section is divided into three different categories: Exporting Countries’ Perspective, Importing Countries Perspective and General Public Sentiments.
