Built VS Nature World

As Singapore move towards urbanisation around the past decades, we have cleared most of our primary and secondary forests and natural vegetation. However, research reported that a deficit of nature could have physical and psychological effects on our well-being. As a result, the authorities have to bring the natural world back to people while balancing the need for urban development.

Singapore introduced the vision of  ‘Garden of the City’ as we intersperses our landscape with greenery to allow closer connection between the population and nature. These green man-made spaces comprises of urban parks, community gardens, buildings of biophilic design, and zoo and aquarium.
