Having a high level of biodiversity provides many natural services such as pollution breakdown, climate stability and even the maintenance of ecosystems! Here is one example of how:

In the example above, when a farmer plants a seed, the biodiversity and ecosystem benefits from the resources provided by the farmer. When its time to yield, the crops goes back to the farmer and they obtain resources such as food. At this point, biodiversity loses some resources. As such, you can see that we have a symbiotic relationship, and we can provide resources for each other!
