Corporate Social Responsibility

Individuals have the autonomy to decide and change one’s behaviour or attitudes to reduce waste. However, change must also occur at a higher and broader level to have a significant impact on the environment.

Ynse de Boer, Managing Director of Accenture Strategy & Sustainability APAC explains that:

“When you’re thinking about a circular economy, it is crucially important to look at the value chain. Also, it is important to reduce waste by addressing issues of design and marketing at the top of the value chain, rather than simply looking at waste as an “end of pipe” matter, dealing with waste as a consequence of production.”

Here, we look at some of companies who have embarked on conservation efforts, and their individual ways and efforts at reducing waste and increase recycling.

Such pro-environmental measures by these companies will serve as a model example to encourage other companies to do the same. Moreover, companies which have conservation efforts towards environmental issues, may attract more investors for their business, as it could be viewed as more sustainable in a long-run.
