Recently, recycling trucks operated by the four local public waste collectors have been standardised to make them easily identifiable. The colour, universal recycling symbol, as well as the label which say ‘I am a Recycling truck’ is an effort to differentiate the recycling trucks from the waste collection vehicles that are green in colour. The truck’s distinct blue colour, similar to recycling bins, also help to in recognizing and relating the two at a functional level. This can have a transient effect of drawing public attention and raising awareness on recycling.
