Taken from: Singapore Green Plan 2030

The Singapore Green Plan 2030 is a multi-ministerial initiative to tackle the challenge of climate change through a national movement that engages different government bodies, businesses, communities and individuals. The bottomline objective is to contribute to the UN’s goal of net zero emissions through a 10-year plan up until 2030.

One of the key areas of the Green Plan is the concept of achieving sustainable living by adopting a circular economy that recovers and repurposes waste rather than simply disposing of it. To learn more about what you can do to support the movement, click here.

Zero Waste Nation

Introduction
Taken from: Towards Zero Waste

The Zero Waste Nation is a masterplan by the Ministry of Sustainability and Environment comprising 7 chapters that features key strategies in the service of a circular economy, as with the Singapore Green Plan 2030.  Each strategy addresses different stakeholders of the plan, from the other government bodies to specific industries to schools and individuals.

The final chapter, “Towards a Zero Waste Nation, Together” features efforts to engage the local community through focus group sessions and school initiatives, as well as, overseas partners to derive new and innovative solutions to the waste problem in Singapore.
