About Me

Hello there! Welcome to my blog 🍃

My name is Pearl and I am a Psychology and Media Analytics student currently taking HP3203 Conservation Psychology at Nanyang Technological University.

That’s me in Nara Park, Japan!

As a child, my parents often took me out on trips to hike on the mountains, pick cherries at the orchards, and stroll along the local parks. I never really thought much about how this positively contributed to my developmental growth until I learned about nature-deficit disorder in class.

I have chosen nature-deficit disorder as the topic of my blog because I want to raise awareness of the importance of nature on children’s healthy development. It is an area of development that is often overlooked, and with this blog, I hope to engage parents to integrate more nature into their children’s lifestyles, just as my parents did for me.

A healthy child is, after all, a happy child.

In my free time, I like to go hiking and fishing. My happy place is a log cabin on a snow-capped mountain with the sun rising just above the trees.
