About Me

This website is done for a Conservation Psychology course in Nanyang Technological University, and is managed by Astrea, a student majoring in Psychology. And no, I am not psychic. Though I do wish that I have mutant abilities like in superhero cartoons, because then school would be a breeze and one can save on travel expenses. Imagine the sheer amount of reduction in carbon diox-! But, I digress.

Through this website, I hope that people are able to know more about the need for conserving coral reefs, and hopefully gain an insight in the management of coral reefs through the Indonesian case study highlighted. Afterall, it seems we often have too many news and attention on deforestation, global warming, sharks, but not much on coral reefs, which are probably not as visible and thus “out of sight, out of mind”. But they are extremely important, and are affected by all the environmental problems reflected in what we experience today.

Additionally, I really love animals, especially dogs and dolphins and has owned several dogs since I could remember. I once wanted to be a veterinarian but things changed after I became interested in psychology. I’m especially interested in social and cultural psychology, as well as in the counselling field and hope to be part of that scene in the future.  I’m also interested in the Japanese culture, subcultures and the language as well.

Just to end off with some pictures, so you can attach a face to the name.
