The Singapore Garden Festival (SGF) is a biennial event organised by NParks, Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA), the Orchid Society of South East Asia (Singapore), the Singapore Gardening Society and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB). This event showcases green creations by garden designers, florists and horticulturists.
Importance and relevance of this green festival
The appealing creations showcased by SGF can let more visitors understand that gardening can beautify their environment as well. This may entice more people to gardening. The SGF is also an ideal avenue for gardeners, florists and horticulturists to exchange and share green ideas. This may result in more future collaborations and green innovations. Drawing from personal experience, the SGF is also a good avenue to promote and create awareness of green products like the worm composting bins.
