Cognitive Bias

As mentioned in the song, cognitive bias blind your thinking and influence your decision making.

Cognitive bias can be group into different categories. For example, some biases affects decision making such as loss aversion which is the tendency for people to focus more on the loss than the possible gains even if the relative utilities are the same. Other affect memory, for example the illusion- of –truth effect is a bias whereby people are more likely to identify statements that they are familiar with as true statements regardless of the actual validity of statements.
For this blog, we will focus on dimension of decision making bias so as to understand how decisions involving conservation as a whole can be influence by these bias.
