Recently, DiCaprio hosted a gala, co-chaired by Philippe Cousteau and Jared Leto, in St. Tropez on July 2014. The inaugural gala included an auction of artwork, DiCaprio’s own Harley Davidson Motorcycle signed by Martin Scorcese, Robert De Niro ,and himself, and also Bono’s personal guitar. The A-list actor was joined by many celebrity guests, including Robin Thicke, Bono, Selena Gomez, and Cara Delevingne, to name a few. The event raised over $25 million for LDF.

Another charity auction called The 11th Hour was organized by LDF, in collaboration with Christie’s. The sale included 33 works by famous artists around the world. In total, the event managed to raise an outstanding $38,827,000 million. These funds will go into conservation projects that help to protect the last wild places on earth, the endangered species that inhabit them, and the surrounding communities whose welfare depends upon them.
