Vegetarianism as a Conservation Solution

As seen in the Meat Industry & Its Impacts section of this blog, vegetarianism can be seen as a simple dietary solution that counters the environmental wrongdoings of this large and powerful industry. With the cessation of participation in buying meat products, one can figuratively wash their hands of a significant amount of responsibility in destroying our planet earth. By this logic, vegetarianism must be synonymous with the promotion of a more sustainable agriculture. However, this idea can be a little misleading. The following section will explain why vegetarianism should not be the only act of environmental friendliness – as being vegetarian, along with having a great environmental benefit, can actually come with some of its own negative environmental issues.
