Hello!

Thank you for visiting this blog. Focusing on Singapore in particular, this blog examines the use of fossil fuels and the accompanying environmental or sustainability issues.
Fossil fuels form the primary energy source of the world (Environmental and Energy Study Institute, 2014)b. With rapid industrialization and development of countries, more people are becoming reliant on energy for their daily living. However, the generation of energy from fossil fuels releases a massive amount of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, thereby contributing to global warming and climate change. A recent report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (2014) stated that the use of fossil fuels should be restricted and phased out by year 2100, if the world is to avoid dangerous climate change.
