WCS collaborates with Asian government to aid them in elephant surveys, reduce human-elephant conflict and enforce laws related to Asian elephants.

WCS works with local communities through S.E.A to reduce conflict between humans and elephants. They have successfully repelled 90% of possible elephant raids in some areas in Sumatra.

WCS has been using new molecular biology techniques to help these elephants (Wildlife Conservation Society, 2015).
