The trucks collect waste from rubbish chutes, huge central rubbish chutes from HDB buildings and then transports them to one of the 4 Waste-To-Energy (WTE) incineration plants.

The waste collected is then burned to reduce the volume of waste considerably!(Cherubini, Bargigli, & Ulgiati, 2009)
Here’s a flowchart to simplify where the waste goes in this state! The incineration process will produce energy and at the same time reduce the amount of volume of waste left to be transported to the various landfills!
