The trucks collect waste from rubbish chutes, huge central rubbish chutes from HDB buildings and then transports them to one of the 4 Waste-To-Energy (WTE) incineration plants.

The waste collected is then burned to reduce the volume of waste considerably!(Cherubini, Bargigli, & Ulgiati, 2009)
