Socio-materials that matter for traversing the boundaries of school and work

Introduction

We are a research team from CRADLE@NTU and CAO. This research project is funded by Workforce Development Agency. The aim of this research is to explore how undergraduates collaborate with their workplace colleagues and faculty supervisor during the internship experience. We sincerely hope that you will participate in this project so that we can all better understand how best to enhance our NTU undergraduate internship learning experience and to better prepare our undergraduate for the working world.

 

Study Details

  • Participate in 2 interviews ( 2nd and 4th month) during period of internship. 
  • The interview will take about 30 min each time.
  • You will be reimbursed SGD 15 after completing each interview. 
  • The researcher will interview you at the workplace.
  • Allow researchers to print out hard copies of your reflection logs after your submission to CAO.

 

Privacy

  • Please rest assured that all information provided by you will be kept at the strictest confidence.
  • No identifying information about you will be released to your workplace and faculty supervisor.
  • You can withdraw from this study at any time. 
  • Your participation or non-participation will not influence your grade or performance for this internship attachment. 
  • In reporting the research findings, all analyses will be done at the group level without reference to any specific individual.

 

Participation

You are eligible to participate in this study if you are above 18 years old and planning to apply for an internship position under the NTU internship programme.
