I’m sure you’ve heard about the Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight which recently landed on Azerbaijan due to a drop in cabin pressure. Singapore Airlines is not commonly known for having technical problems, if fact, I think they are one of the safest in the skies, but when such a thing happens and it’s splashed all over the news, how does SIA bounce back?
SIA already has a good reputation and maybe this one incident will not hurt them as much but still, crisis management and communication needs to be done.
So here’s a challenge for you. Let’s say you are the Head of the Public Relations Department for SIA and you were abruptly woken up in the wee hours of the morning by a phone call, informing you that one of the planes had to make an emergency landing – WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
Let those ideas flow.
