Researchers collect, analyze and use data as part and parcel of their work. However they may not pay as much attention to the management, preservation and future use of data. These are important aspects of the data life cycle. There is now an increasing emphasis on openness, sharing and reuse of data as well as concerns on research integrity worldwide. Funders and research institutions will require researchers to pay more attention on managing their research data in order to address these issues and concerns.

This talk provides an overview of the current data management landscape and how the Library can help researchers prepare for it.
