Former cabinet minister Mr Raymond Lim was invited by Professor Goh Nguen Wah from the Public Policy and Global Affairs Programme to share his vast experiences in the government. The aim, as Professor Goh puts it, was to “connect the classroom learning to the real world”.

Mr Lim shared his thoughts on the challenges that Singapore faces and how the people and the government of Singapore can mitigate the impact of these challenges.

Students also had the opportunity to buy Mr Lim’s recently published book “Straight Talk: Reflections on Singapore Politics, Economy & Society”.

The talk was chaired by Professor He Baogang, Head, Public Policy and Global Affairs Programme, and supported by Straits Times Press and NTU Libraries.
