South Asian Newspapers, 1864-1922, provides access to 10 newspapers published in India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka during the 19th and early 20th centuries. The types of content available include eyewitness reporting, editorials, legislative updates, letters, poetry, advertisements, matrimony and death notices.
This resource offers digitized full-text searching of The Chinese Students’ Monthly, the first magazine published by Chinese students in the United States from 1906 to 1931. As the official organ of The Chinese Students’ Alliance in the U.S., it was an influential publication among the Chinese students in the U.S. at that time.
This collection is an online bibliography of 654 early Western books on Imperial China up to 1850. It is based on the book “Western Books on China published up to 1850” by John Lust, and features books in Latin, French, and English.
This resource provides digitised access to 12 English-language Chinese historical newspapers for the period 1832 to 1953. Other than news articles (local, regional and national news), users will be able to search advertisements, editorials, cartoons, and classified advertisements.
