I have been following Professor Kishore Mahbubani’s Big Ideas for Singapore in his monthly columns in The Straits Times. Last Saturday marks the final of his many big ideas which will help Singapore succeed in the next 50 years. He suggested Singaporeans to demonstrate our love for Singapore with 3 Ls : “Litter not, Laugh a lot, and Live the pledge”.
Mike Showalter of Plum Analytics gave an interesting webinar on feedback loop and altmetrics. By “Feedback Loop”, Mike is referring to a chain of Information, Action, Reaction. The basic premise is simple. Provide people with information about their actions in real time (or something close to it), then give them an opportunity to change those actions, pushing them to react towards a better behavior.
