Electrical and Electronic Engineering Resource Day

Engineering Library is organising a “EEE Resource Day” on 21st January 2014, outside LT24 to bring the library resources and services closer to our users in the South Spine. There will be several activities lined up for the event such as :
– Display of about 150 new EEE books with the facility to borrow books on the spot
– Demonstration of databases – IEEE Xplore, Engineering Village etc
– Demonstration of e-book titles relating to engineering and technology by Knovel
– Innovation at 3M- Talk by Dr. Andrew Tio, Chair for professional Development , IEEE Singapore
– Quiz and lucky draw organised by NTU IEEE Student Branch.

About the speaker

Marti Harris
Research Director in Gartner Research

Marti Harris is a Research Director in Gartner Research, where her research area is higher education technology strategies, including administrative and academic systems, learning technologies, distributed learning, e-learning, social networking, and MOOC.

Prior to joining Gartner, Ms. Harris had 20 years of experience in higher education, which included teaching in the areas of database analysis and design, system design, and management of IT. She taught both in computing and in business management departments. Administrative roles included the design and management of learning media labs. Ms. Harris is a professional librarian and was director of university libraries before moving to the computing teaching faculty.
