databases_acadoodle_01_logoAcadoodle is an online learning resource created by Dr. John Seery and Dr. John Ryan. Boasting richly-animated and high-quality tutorial videos, the site aims to create an effective and enjoyable way to learn complex medical and health-science concepts.

With a simple layout, it is easy to navigate around the site to find the topic you want to learn about.

Acadoodle is available on the Database list under”Medicine”, accessible on the NTU library’s homepage. To learn how to search for databases using the homepage, click here.  Alternatively, you can access the database directly using this link.

Acadoodle focuses on three main subjects: Electrocardiography (ECG), Arterial blood gas (ABG) and Electrolytes. Within each of the three, there are several topics covered. For each topic, there is a series of modules in the form of short video lectures that end with a quiz relating to the content covered.

To get started, simply move your mouse over to the panel of your topic of choice and click to begin!

Aside from the video courses, there are two other minor sections of the site: Articles and Cases, which by name are rather self-explanatory.

Under “Articles”, updates on information related to ECG and other related topics can be found. These articles are sorted by the date published, with the latest displayed first.

Under “Cases” is a case study that provides information in both description and charts, followed up by questions that test your knowledge on diagnosis and knowledge of the subjects covered. At the moment, it appears that there is only one case study available.

At the moment, this is all we have to show for Acadoodle. We hope that with it you would be able to expand your knowledge and learn more about ECG and the other related topics covered by this database!
