Doctoral Researcher (Cultural Studies in Asia), College of Design and Engineering, National University of Singapore

Cheng is a Singaporean instructor for Design Thinking at the College of Design and Engineering at the National University of Singapore, while pursuing his Ph.D. research in Cultural Studies in Asia at the School of Communication and New Media. His research interests overlap cultural studies, design, and community building. Currently, he holds an MA in Museum Studies & Curatorial Practices and a B.A. in Spatial Architecture. He is a community artist and designer who has worked in the design industry and actively seeks to leverage his research and apply participatory approaches to foster multipolar and community-oriented social decisions. He has participated in events such as the Singapore Passion Art Festival and Singapore Design Week 2024.
