Jointly organised by The Nanyang Technological University’s Institute of Science and Technology for Humanity (NISTH) and the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Young Global Leaders (YGL) Forum, the leadership programme aims to bring in young leaders from around the world to Singapore to learn from Singapore as a case study for understanding urban development, urban management, and urban leadership. Singapore, being at the forefront of applying technology to urban development, with its government agencies working hand in hand with the private sector to realise cutting edge public transportation, renewable energy and housing projects, is chosen to lead the Smart Cities module. Through examining the management of different sectors of the urban economy in Singapore, this module seeks to prepare the YGLs interested and invested in improving urban development and livelihoods to lead their cities into the future.
