NTU-NHG Innovation Collaboration Grant 2012

The NTU-NHG Innovation Collaboration Grant (ICG) is a joint grant call launched by Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and National Healthcare Group (NHG) to fund collaborative projects in various aspects of health sciences including medical innovation and improvement such as bio-medical engineering, diagnostics, medical devices and therapeutics.

The joint grant call also aims to promote greater research collaborations between NTU and NHG, and to provide seed funding for potential projects to vie for larger national grants.

Application Criteria

Each application must have a NHG Lead Principal Investigator from NHG and a NTU Lead Principal Investigator from NTU. Research projects where both Lead Principal Investigators have already collaborated on may have an added advantage.

The NHG Lead Principal Investigator can be clinicians from Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Institute of Mental Health, National Skin Centre and the NHG polyclinics.

The NTU Lead Principal Investigator must be a full-time faculty from NTU which includes staff from any of the colleges within NTU.

All applications will be reviewed by a panel of reviewers from NTU and NHG.

Funding Structure

The maximum amount of funding to be awarded for each successful application will be S$100,000, and the maximum funding term will be 2 years.

Submission Details & Closing Date

All applications must be duly completed by both Principal Investigators and endorsed by their respective Department Heads, where applicable.

Original copies of the completed applications must be submitted to NHG Research & Development Office by Friday, 11 January 2013, 5pm at the following address:

Note: NTU’s Technical Lead Principal Investigators are also required to submit softcopy of the proposals (in 1 file) in WORD format and the signed hardcopy proposals (2 sets) to:
