Manager (Strategic Partnerships and Projects), NTU Institute of Science and Technology for Humanity (NISTH), NTU

  • Work on local and international collaborative Digital Scholarship (DS) projects, not limited to Digital Humanities (DH). Four projects have received mentions from local, regional and international media outlets. The projects were also exhibited and presented at several prominent venues, including the National Museum of Singapore, National Library of Singapore, United Nations Geneva and Venice International University.
  • Develop and provide guidance on collaborative projects and grant applications in NTU and international DS projects
  • Conceptualise a new DH Lab with materials gathered from conversations and studies of DS and Innovation Labs and Centres from various Institutions and Organisations.
  • Design and conduct workshops on DS related topics, ranging from Fundamentals of Design to Information Visualisation, Digital Publishing and Archiving.

2017 to 2018

Senior Librarian (Digital Scholarship), Office of Information, Knowledge and Library Services (OIKLS), NTU

  • Co-designed a new syllabus for graduate students at ADM with Associate Chair (Research), Associate Professor Andrea Nanetti, titled “AP9048 DANCING over IDEAS: Inceptive Knowledge Mapping for Research in Art, Design and Media”
  • Project Lead in new spaces committee looking at envisaging and (re)imagine existing spaces and delivered a proposal on the Future of Library Spaces
  • Developed and designed seminars, workshops and programs on Digital Scholarship (DS) topics (e.g. geospatial analysis, data visualisation, data wrangling and design fundamentals etc) for the NTU community
  • Led interdisciplinary digital projects that includes Aung Soe Illustrations (2017), Site and Space in Southeast Asia (2018) and Visualising Mountain Estate in Chengde (2018).

  • Created educational resources in teaching, learning and research for students across different levels and subjects
  • Developed a series of workshops for final year students on how to conduct research for their projects

  • Designed and conducted around 50 workshops for more than 900 students in ADM
  • Worked closely with different offices, committees and vendors to develop submission workflows and a portfolio digital platform to capture students’ creative works and build a community in ADM
  • Designed and co-curated two exhibition series on textiles and wearable technology showcasing works by faculty, students, local and overseas artists
  • Member of the faculty team that documented an overseas expedition to Arizona with students from ADM and Mechanical Engineering. Edited a printed publication entitled “A Desert Playground”

  • Developed the branding and design strategy for NTU Libraries, such as logo identity, stationery and social media graphics
  • Designed social marketing campaigns and orientation activities to engage users in NTU
  • Provided the art direction and design for the 33rd Annual International IATUL Conference in Singapore, including logo identity, goodie bag design and event collaterals
