Battery Management System

We successfully soldered the Battery Management System (BMS) to the Battery Holder.

1. Tested BMS & battery holder

Voltage is all appropriate and expected.

  • 4 Rechargeable Batteries in series
  • Discharge Voltage = 3.6 V
  • 4 in series: Discharge Voltage = 14.4 V
  • Charging Voltage = 4.2 V, Recommended Charging Current = 1.6 A

2. Tested the $100+ buck convertor with display

It works! 🙂

3. Experimented with Tony’s rectifier

4. Tested batteries with buck converter

We successfully stepped down 14.4 V from batteries to 12 V as required by the pump. Used a lightbulb as a load to test the current.
