June 6:
- Generator has arrived
June 7 – 9:
- Consulted Tony and tried to understand how the AC generator works
- 3D modelled simple handle and washer to test out hand crank system
June 10:
- Finished printing first handle ( Annex A )
- Cranking produce up to 15V without load
- Planning
- Standing Leg Crank < 500N
- Sitting Leg Crank < 300N
- Standing Hand Crank < 130N
- Acceptable Length of Crank < 40cm
- Acceptable Cranking rpm < 25rpm
- Eqn: P = IV = Torque*rpm*(2pi/60)
Questions to answer:
- How fast must generator rotate to achieve power requirement of >17.5V and maximum current
- Can 3D printed pulley support tension of timing belt
- What is the efficiency of the generator
Planning with assembly model using Fusion360.
