Working Principle

Electrical Power System

insert diagram here

AC Generator and Hand Crank
– Hand crank produces electrical power. Gear ratio attempts to optimise the power generation from manual rotation.
– AC Generator connected to rectifier to convert AC to DC
– Also, connected to charge module which steps down the voltage to charging voltage (17.5V)

Charging of Battery
– Charging voltage set at 17.5 V
– Rechargeable batteries used. 4 batteries in series.
– Used Battery Management System (BMS) to regulate charging of batteries.

Battery Power Output
– Output of batteries is 16.8 V.
– Buck converter used to step down voltage to 12V for application of pump.

Water Filtration System

– Includes pump which powered by the electrical power system. Power required is 12V and max of 7.5A.
– Pump is connected with hosings and fittings to a dirty water tank as input.
– Pump is connected to an RO membrane which has a rejected water piping and clean water piping.
– Clean water is collected as product.
– Rejected water is recycled and returned to the dirty water tank.
