On receiving feedback for our first presentation, we realized that we needed to wet our dumpling skin before it is loaded onto the machine so that the skin can stick together. Additionally, we need to add springs to our hinge to make it open automatically after opening.
Currently, our team is focused on modelling the entire setup in order to visualize its assembly. We are focused on automating the dispensing aspect of the dumpling-making process and designing the gyoza mould (we shall start with gyoza first before exploring other types of dumplings).
As we realized that there are no sellers of dumpling meat dispensers, we decided to create one from scratch, starting with a manual sausage meat stuffer. We intend to push out the minced meat using a lead screw stepper motor. Following that, a servo motor connect to a blade cuts the extruded meat.
