Today the acrylic sheet arrived! We can now fix all our components onto the acrylic table.
Redesigning for new Burette
The new burette has different dimensions from the old one. As a result, we had to redesign the burette knob coupler. The volume markings on the burette extends over an angle of 180 degrees, which we thought would block the laser beam when it’s doing the volume scan, but didn’t during preliminary test. Hopefully in our final product it wouldn’t cause any problems either. Luckily, the internal diameter of the new burette is approximately the same as the old one, saving us the trouble to redesign the float.
Fixing the Power Supply
The potentiometer on the power supply fell out during delivery. We soldered this component back onto the power supply and plan to test it again tomorrow.
Others
The PCB has arrived. We’ll solder the header pins tomorrow and test the circuit if there’s time.
