Hello! This is Hydrorock-Assisted Hydroponics Automation (HAHA)! We are a dedicated group of plant enthusiasts on a mission to redefine plant cultivation at home and in research labs through this project. Through the design of a self-watering and self-nutrient dispensing plant set-up using Arduino and IoT, we aim to 1) automate the plant growing process to minimise workload on the user, and 2) enhance plant growth through the provision of the most optimal and precise conditions.

Chong Ka Shing | Group Leader

Ka Shing takes the helm as our group leader, guiding us with his extensive knowledge and passion for the subject matter. With a strong scientific background and a major in Materials Science, Ka Shing brings valuable insights to our project. His expertise enables us to make informed connections between our observations and the underlying scientific principles. Ka Shing’s leadership and dedication contribute significantly to the success and progress of Hydrorock-Assisted Hydroponics Automation.

 

Kim Sung Yeon | Finance and Procurement

Sung Yeon takes charge of the finance and procurement aspects within our Hydrorock-Assisted Hydroponics Automation team. With meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, Sung Yeon plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth progression of our project.

 

Shi Qilun | Secretarial Support and Records

Shi Qilun plays a crucial role in our Hydrorock-Assisted Hydroponics Automation team, providing valuable support in secretarial tasks and record-keeping. Majoring in Computer Science and Engineering, Qilun brings expertise in coding and working with electrical components, specifically related to the Arduino portion of our project.

 

Fabiola Kelly Gorat | Planning and Safety Officer

With a major in Biological Science, Fabiola brings a deep understanding of plant care and maintenance to our project. She plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being of the plants we grow by diligently watering them and closely monitoring their growth.
