After around a week of remote work, we were finally reunited! As much as we were happy to see each other again, we had to get back to the grind. We decided to make a small scaled 3D cardboard prototype so we could visualise the placement of the components and confirm dimensions of our actual model.
We also followed-up on the suggestion to add sound effects to the game. We decided on adding sound effects in 3 different situations: at the start of the game, when the push button is pressed, and when the player loses. We proceeded to buy speakers and more male-to-male jumper wires.
More improvements we made include figuring out the central ball collection route and the folding of our model into half for a more user-friendly experience by making individual systems for both players which are independent of one another. This meant that we would have 1 arduino at each side having the same code uploaded.
