Finally, after months of work and internal presentations, it was time to present our final product to the world!

Since our presentation was after lunch, we spent the morning touching up on Gorilla.irl. We made sure that all our electronics and physical assemblies worked as they should. Thankfully, all of it cooperated with us well and there was nothing major. To make our product look nice, we even wiped down the acrylic with rubbing alcohol to ensure it was shiny and squeaky clean.

Then again, it’s not fun if everything goes well, right? As we were carrying our game out of the MnT lab to prepare for the presentation, the wires soldered to the touch sensor snapped off. At this point, we were used to things just not cooperating, so we just rolled with it. Luckily, it only affected one side of the game, meaning we still had a fully functional set to demonstrate.

Other than that hiccup, the presentation ran smoothly and so did the VIVA afterwards. In just 1.5 hours, we wrapped up our months’ long project. There were mixed feelings because on the one hand, we are proud of what we were able to make. At the same time, with this project off our hands, we can now focus more on our academics and other commitments of the semester with a little less stress. A rocky journey but one completed nonetheless.
