At our second check-in session with Dr Ho, Yong En presented our progress and it went generally okay. We received constructive feedback and ideas such as deconstructing a nerf gun and placing utmost priority on our first stage – the launcher. Once again, calculations were mentioned regarding the speed and weight of the ball. Sobs.
An interesting comment was to integrate sound effects for the game experience, which we did subsequently. Little did we know incorporating sound effects would take us a painfully long time, but we’ll talk more about it in the later blog posts.
After the session, we had an online zoom session for progress updates and sharing of comments from the check in session as we are hardworking students! As the code for electrical parts were completed and 3D modeling mostly done, we generated a few more ideas during the meeting such as making our game foldable and how we are going to add sound.
Part of the 3D modelling was to visualise how our launcher module would look like.
We also wanted to visualise how our control panel might look like.
