Two days ago, we verified that pre-drying the air will increase the efficiency of cooling. We are now examining whether the foggers would not only solve our pump system, but improve our honeycomb setup as they could be a more effective medium for evaporative cooling compared to evaporative pads. Thus, we did some preliminary testing to measure the temperature drop with the foggers in a rudimentary setup. Our honeycomb setup with only the evaporative pads resulted in a decrease in air temperature of 2.2°C from 28.9°C to 26.7°C, while including the fogger into the honeycomb setup resulted in a temperature drop of 4.1°C from 28.9°C to 24.8°C. This means that adding the fogger is promising as it resulted in further cooling.
