The presentation went great! Our product (mostly) worked. The team is simultaneously proud and relieved.
Well, you know what they say – Everything that can go wrong, will. On 24 Sep, Arthur assembled the bottle only to realise that the desiccator holes were wrongly placed. Arthur asked Jin Feng to shift the desiccator holes and air inlets. Thankfully, the fall detection and battery detection were…Read More
Hollywood-ing: Arthur and Gabriel did some waterproofing on the bottle, while Jedidiah and Sahil painted the bottle using epoxy resin and acrylic paints respectively.
Final Prototype Before Product: Arthur and Gabriel have assembled the final prototype and incorporate the electronics to identify final room for improvement.
Preparation: We now have 30 Days till our final presentation, and we’ve got some final steps to make. Arthur reprinted the bottle with a reduced cap height, based on Jin Feng’s recent calculations from simulations. The fan and screwing threads were working fine. Meanwhile, Sahil and Arthur went to procure…Read More
Jin Feng did three simulations of the bottle assembly and verified that reducing the mid cap height results in increased outlet air flow. If the bottle base and two electronics compartments are removed, reducing the mid cap height from 66mm to 43mm increases the outlet velocity from 4.12m/s to 4.99m/s.…Read More
We’ve been trying to figure out the nitty gritty of the bottle design, including the lock mechanism. After several failed designs, we are trying to test out threads. We also desoldered the Arduinos and OLED screen to save some space, and completed modifications of the fogger driver boards. We made…Read More
