Learning Experience

Brian

Personally, MnT has been an amazing adventure for me, where I got to have the opportunity to learn so many new things about making an entire product from scratch with my wonderful groupmates. I had the hands on opportunity to learn how to code, how to solder, how to piece the different sensors and modules together to form the entire setup while having fun, which is not something I could do everyday. If I had to do MnT all over again, I would most definitely choose to be in this group again!

Zane:

MnT has exposed me to a variety of new skills and experience. Through this module, I have learnt how to code, solder, 3D print, play around with IoT and build a circuitry from scratch which are invaluable skills that will help me in the future. I have also develop my teamwork through the any hurdles that our group faced while designing and building our fish tank. Overall, I had a fun experience

Wan Yu:

MnT gave us the platform to brainstorm about problems related to our day to day such as sustaining a fish tank and a self playing guitar. By exploring interesting ideas we were able to come up with creative solutions as well. Throughout the module, we had to self learn many hard and soft skills like soldering, CAD design and PCB building. While it may not draw much relevance to our individual degrees, the opportunity to learn new skills was very much appreciated. The entire experience was also made better as we could work with our friends from different backgrounds and perspectives with a wide range of knowledge to tap on. Despite the many struggles and challenges, we definitely had many takeaways as well as memorable experiences from this module.

Chung Hean:

MnT has been a truly rewarding experience for me. I gained so many new skills (e.g. 3D printing, soldering, working with electric circuits) and together with my team, created a product that targeted a real world problem. But the most important takeaway for me was actually the friendships I had forged throughout the project. To my dedicated team members, thank you for your hard work and for the fun times together.

Ivan:

I found MnT to be a great platform for us to apply what we have learnt in classrooms to try and solve a real-world problem. Through MnT i grew to appreciate the thought and effort put in to designing and building a product from scratch. I enjoyed being exposed to the many different aspects of building this product, in particular I found that learning how to print out my own PCB, how to set up circuits as well as soldering are valuable lessons which I would not have been able to learn through my own degree. I Besides the technical knowledge i have gained through this course, I also feel that I have grown to become a better team-player to achieve a common goal.
