3D Printing Inventory – Part 2

Versions of the cup holder:

Version 5.1
Version 5.2

Process: In Version 5.1, the stoppers were made filleted compared to Version 4. This made it slightly smoother for the cup to fit easier into the holder. Mechanically, this would help to spread the load of the weight of the cup on the stoppers. This helps to prevent the stopper from snapping. The stoppers were also made taller to accomodate the thickness of the extrusion on the cups itself. From Version 5.1 to Version 5.2, additional protruding sticks were added to the bottom and side of the cup holder part. In Version 5.2, we can see the part is already connected to the black vertical platform.

The flat platforms:

The vertical platform that attaches to the bottom of the cup holder
The horizontal platform that attaches to the top of the cup holder

Idea: These platforms help to hold the cup holder at an angle. The platforms will be attached to the body of the machine to hold them in place.

Slanted trapeziums for the motors:

Idea: These trapezium platforms have protruding sticks on one side and matching holes on the other side to allow the red and black pieces to fit side by side like matching puzzle pieces. This provides a solid base for the motor to rest at an angle.
