Like poles repel, which makes magnets a possible source of suspension.

Electromagnetic induction (EMI) can generate eddy currents. By Faraday’s law and Lenz’s law, the eddy current generated opposes the motion of the magnet that produces it. The greater the motion of the magnet, the greater the opposition. This makes it a possible resistive force for damping.

Combining the two, we can theoretically create a suspension and shock absorbtion system using magnets.
