Upon fiddling with the motion of the wheel, we discovered that some pipette tips don’t fall from the top of the wheel. Additionally, some pipette tips get stuck in the hole of the funnel. To circumvent these problems, we designed and 3D printed new holders for the wheel as well as a new funnel.
Our new holder now has two lips, which will “hold” pipette tips until they reach the top of the wheel before allowing the tips to fall into the funnel by gravity. These new holders will replace the old ones and will be stuck to the wheel using duct tape.

For our new holder, we removed the upper half of it to make it easier for the pipette tips to fall in. We also made the hole that the pipette tips would fall out through elliptical, to encourage the pipette tips to fall in line with the ramp.
