Formal presentation 1 – 12 June
Filter frames were designed, printed and assembled.
Due to size constraints of the 3D printer, frames were printed in 4 separate entities. They are then joined through a “lock and key” mechanism. Side supports were also printed in order to align HEPA and carbon filters which came in slightly different sizes. Springs were added as an additional feature to the side supports in order to ensure that the filters are tightly fitted.
Required material including fans, filters, flexible air ducts, acrylic glue, zeolites and metal mesh were purchased both physically and online. A Consolidated list of materials can be found here (inset link later).
